  • INTRODUCTION
  • Welcome to the South Bowie Boys & Girls Club Basketball Program. This program is dedicated to serving our youth ages 5-14. Our mission is to teach, develop, organize, manage and offer youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball while instilling life-lessons and values such as character, team work, discipline, respect and sportsmanship.

  • The deposit will not be refunded unless the uniform is returned in good condition. COMMISSIONER: Dez Parks: basketball@southbowiesharks.org Ages The age range for County Basketball is 7-14. Registration Registration will open September 29, 2025 and go until Saturday, November 8, or close before then if the roster fills up for the age group.
  • The registration fee is $200.00 until November 1
  • Late registration: November 2nd through November 8th the fee will be $220.00.
  • Registration could close early if the roster fills up for any age group. Q & A's What league do the SHARKS compete in? We play in the Anne Arundel County League. What are the dates for the season? The season will commence in November 2025, with games scheduled to begin in December 2025 and continue through the end of February. What clubs do we play against? We typically play against any Club that is a member of the AAYSA. Where do we play our games? Games are held on Saturdays at a designated location in Anne Arundel County, which will be your game site every weekend during the season. How many games are there? Most AAYSA teams play a minimum of 8 games. If a team makes the playoffs, there can be as many as 13 games. Squirts usually play a minimum of 3-5 games. How often is practice and where do they take place? Practice is twice a week at a Bowie area school or Bowie City Gym; your coach will determine the practice days.

  • Uniforms: A $150 deposit for the uniforms will be collected before the start of the season when the game uniforms are distributed.

  • IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COACHING, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK DONE AND ATTEND A COACH’S CLINIC THROUGH THE COUNTY. You will need the background check done BEFORE the season starts. We are always in need of coaches!
