GRassroots certification

The South Bowie Boys & Girls Club strives to provide quality coaching to all of our athletes. The club will pay for you to obtain your US Soccer Grassroots certification to achieve this goal. You must complete the free introductory module, an online course, and one in-person course to be considered Grassroots Certified. The U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching Certification is the entry point into the national coaching pathway and is designed for coaches working with players from the recreational level through early competitive ages. The program focuses on creating a positive, player‑centered environment and introduces coaches to U.S. Soccer’s Play–Practice–Play methodology, which is now the standard for youth development across the country.
How To Sign Up
All Grassroots courses are managed through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center, the national platform for coaching education. 1. Create a Learning Center AccountVisit the U.S. Soccer Learning Center and create a profile. Coaches must be at least 16 years old to register. 2. Complete the Free Intro ModuleBefore enrolling in any course, coaches must take the Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module. It takes about 20–30 minutes and unlocks access to all Grassroots licenses. 3. Choose an online Grassroots CourseSelect the game format that matches your coaching level (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11). 4. Register for an in-person course that matches your coaching level (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11).Once registered, coaches participate in the classroom or field session, complete the coursework, and receive their official Grassroots License upon completion.
