SBBGC CODE OF CONDUCT
To ensure safe, supportive, and respectful sports programs, the South Bowie Boys and Girls Club will have a zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike behaviors of patrons, participants, coaches and spectators. The Organization's Code of Conduct requires that participants in Sports Programs (with or without a reasonable accommodation) conduct themselves in a rational and reasonable manner, in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the (SBBGC) South Bowie Boys and Girls Club. Unsportsmanlike behaviors exhibited by patrons, participants, coaches, and fans will not be tolerated. Failure to abide by the terms of the Code of Conduct may result in notification of Park Police and/or expulsion or suspension from the Sport Programs, M-NCPPC Community Centers and other Park property.
There is no reason for a coach or anyone else to approach an official after the game has ended. If a coach is dissatisfied with the officiating, then they should fill out an Official Evaluation Form, have it signed by their Commissioner or Club President and submitted to the county for evaluation. The official’s name is not required. Just a brief description of the official, date of the game, location where the game is played, and time is all you need. The county working with the officiating organization can find out the names of the officials involved. Please remember- Judgment calls cannot be protested.
Only authorized personnel with county issued ID badges are allowed to be on the field (with the team in front of the restraining ropes), wrestling area or on the basketball court.
Individuals may forfeit their privileges for failure to abide by the following:• No arguing with the official’s decisions or calls. The Captains and/or Coaches may approach Officials for clarification of decisions only. • No person may interfere with any Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club employee, any M-NCPPC Parks & Recreation employee or any South Bowie Boys and Girls Club volunteer acting in the course of their official duties. • A person requested to leave commission property by authorized personnel must do so immediately. • The possession, use or distribution of weapons, instruments used as weapons, fireworks or explosives is prohibited. Any player who removes his football helmet and uses it as a weapon will be suspended indefinitely. • Fighting, theft and vandalism will not be tolerated. • Refrain from indecent, obscene or hate language or conduct, including the use of profanity, derogatory gestures, and intimidating comments. • Physical or sexual assault, battery or improper touching will result in suspension and will be reported to the authorities. • Possession, use or distribution of alcohol, illegal drugs or controlled dangerous substances is prohibited, as is the use of tobacco products in Commission facilities. • All animals must be on a leash and kept in paved areas. No animals are allowed on playing fields. • There is zero tolerance for driving at an unsafe speed in the parking lot. Please drive with caution while on the park premises.Proper supervision and safety precautions will be always taken; however, the athlete participated at his/her own risk.
