South Bowie Sharks Spring Flag Football
Our mission is to empower youth athletes and instill a lifelong passion for flag football through a program that is engaging, fun, and accessible for everyone.
With the support of our SBBGC parents, we provide a structured opportunity for kids to discover the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship ,both on and off the field. In this game, there's a position for everyone. No matter who you are, flag is your chance to run, throw, jump, and fly. This is your chance to get involved in the action and join the flag football movement. SEASON OVERVIEWSouth Bowie BGC plays in the Mentoring Through Athletics League, which is a NFL Flag Football league. REGISTRATION: $150 (registration will close soon)Includes your athlete's uniform PRACTICES:First season’s practice will be on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026All practices will take place at Enfield Chase Park 3701 Northview Dr., Bowie MD 20716 COMMUNICATION: South Bowie's communication platform is TeamSnap only. GAMES: • League opening games will begin on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026• Pictures and ID checks will be done in the first two weeks of the season.• There will be no games on April 5th, 2026 (Easter Sunday), May 10th, 2026 (Mother’s Day) and May 24th, 2026 (Memorial Day Weekend).
• Spring League opening game will be on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 @ Enfield Chase Park• Team Validation & Check-in will be done the first two weeks of league play. Athletes will need passport, birth certificate and/or state Id.• There will be no games on April 5th, 2026 (Easter Sunday), May 10th, 2026 (Mother’s Day) and May 24th, 2026 (Memorial Day Weekend).
SEASON EXPECTATIONS• League values (sportsmanship, development, fun)• Coach responsibilities and standards (coaches will have a practice plan for their team every practice)• No parents allowed on the practice or playing field• No foul language on the field or in front of the players• No bullying or insulting players• Player participation expectations• Learn, Participate and Execute
PRACTICES, GAMES & LOGISTICS• Enfield Chase Park (all practices & games)• Wednesday & Friday @6pm – 8pm• All games played on Sundays• Weather and cancellation communication via Teamsnap & League Website
