CHEERLEADING
Welcome to the South Bowie Boys & Girls Club Cheerleading Program. This program is dedicated to serving our youth ages 6-14. The goal for each season is to teach the fundamentals of cheerleading (motions, jumps, cheers, chants, and stunts), encourage physical fitness, promote teamwork, and develop character. Cheerleaders perform sideline cheers during the football season. We also compete in local competition(s) during the year.
CoachesPG County Background Check & APT Course $25: https://pgcbgc.sportngin.com/register/form/154309705All Coaches and Assistant Coaches MUST have passed a Background Check and APT course (valid for a 2-year period) and a Sports Specific Coaching Certification and Training Test (including the ASEP or USA Football Test) before they are allowed to coach. Once completed, you can apply for your sanctioned PGCBGC Coaches ID Badge that must be worn at all times while on the field. Team parents are also required to successfully pass a background check.
PRACTICESCurrent practice schedule is TBD at 2001 Church Road Bowie, MD.Special events will require additional practices.
SPRING CLINIC Fee: $85 per sessionSpring Clinic are held at 2001 Church Road Bowie, MD during our offseason. Cheerleaders interested in strengthening and conditioning in preparation for the fall cheer season are welcome to attend. Detailed information will be sent out through teamsnap to all registrants.
GAMES:SBBGC Cheerleading will perform sideline cheering during the regular football season as well as playoffs. Games and playoffs are held at Church Road football field and scheduled locations in Anne Arundel County .
COMPETITION:There is an additional fee to participate in competition. All cheerleaders are to obtain a MVA issued state ID to compete. ID’s will be collected 2 weeks before the competition date.
